Installation and Maintenance of Convex Dome Safety Mirrors

90 Degree Dome Mirror Installation

90 degree dome mirrors can be installed using 1 1/2″ long wood screws to fasten the mirror to the ceiling. This mirror is normally installed where the walls meet in a corner. If you are attaching the mirror to a concrete wall use concrete anchors to fasten the mirror to the surface.

180 Degree Dome Mirror Installation

180 degree dome mirrors can be installed using 1 1/2″ wood screws and can be fastened to the ceiling or wall. The mirror is meant to be installed at the top of a wall where it meets the ceiling. To attach the mirror to a concrete wall use concrete anchors.

360 Degree Dome Mirror Installation

360 degree dome mirrors can be mounted on the ceiling or hung by the included chain kit from higher ceilings. To install by chain, assemble the 3 eye bolts to the mirror and attach the chain to the mirror. Anchor the other end of the chain to the ceiling or ceiling truss securely. The optimal height from the ground for this mirror is 8 to 10 feet which will provide the best viewing angle.

Dome Mirror Maintenance and Care

Acrylic mirror faces should be handled carefully so as not to scratch the surface.

Cleaning should be done with a soft, clean cloth using a mild soap or detergent such as liquid dish soap and warm water. Do not use glass cleaners, gasoline, acetone or abrasive household cleaners on acrylic mirrors.

To polish your dome mirror, use a thin coat of spray wax and a soft, clean, dry cloth to gently polish the mirror. This will polish the mirror and fill in any small scratches on the surface of the mirror.

You can choose from a variety of traffic mirrors to find the one that fits your situation.
