Description
Breakaway nuts are excellent way to secure equipment to prevent theft and tampering. Once secured by breakaway nut, there is no way to unbolt other than cutting it.
Specifications:
- Thread diameter: 3/8″
- Use with 3/8″ National Coarse (NC) thread (bolt) not included.
For better explanation of how it works, see picture below. At certain torque, hexagon portion of nut will breakaway and only leave the secured tapered section.
