Rubber parking curbs, also known as car stops, are made from 100% recycled rubber. Each curb has pre -molded holes, yellow reflective stripes for maximum visibility and can be anchored to concrete or asphalt surfaces.
The curb’s flexibility allows it to be installed in parking spaces that are uneven. The rubber is also resistant to ultraviolet light, moisture, oil, and extreme temperatures.
These curbs help protect your sidewalk curbs, and items on the sidewalk such as signs, building columns, benches, and planters from being hit by vehicles when they park in the parking stall. The 4″ height of the curb greatly reduces the potential for damage to cars compared to traditional concrete parking curbs. Because they are made from rubber, this also helps protect vehicles that are low to the ground if they bump up against the curb.
Installation utilizes 4 spikes for asphalt roadways or 4 lag bolts for installation on concrete surfaces. You can also use industrial adhesive, applied with a caulking gun, to secure the curb to the ground. A combination of adhesive with spikes or lag bolts will give you the strongest bonding installation. And compared to concrete curbs weighing several hundred pounds, rubber curbs can easily be installed by one person.
Another advantage of rubber curbs is they can be set up in temporary positions to direct traffic or block off areas from traffic. And they can be moved around easily as the situation demands.
